Pinellas County Service Area
Pinellas County's seat is Clearwater, not St. Petersburg — despite St. Petersburg being much the larger city, and the one with its own page here.
Pinellas is geographically unlike anywhere else we work. It is a peninsula, with the Gulf on one side, Tampa Bay on the other, and open water at the southern tip. On top of that it is the most densely populated county in Florida, with very little undeveloped land remaining. The practical upshot is that essentially no roof in Pinellas is far from salt water, and the corrosion story that applies only to the barrier-island fringe of other counties applies to more or less the whole of this one.
Density has its own consequences for the work. Lots are tight, access is often constrained, and staging a re-roof on a narrow St. Petersburg street is a different exercise to working a half-acre lot inland. Neighboring properties are close enough that debris control and protection matter more than they do elsewhere.
The barrier islands off the western edge — the beach communities — are the most exposed positions in the county, and roofs there wear at the fixings first.
